WEBJun 21, 2009 · From an engineering standpoint the idea of using 8 gauge wire with pin connects and spade connectors commonly found in speakers is a bit silly. Lots of very high quality speakers have 18 or 22g wiring in them. However I will say that regardless of the table, I tend to commonly use 16g-12g wiring depending upon length.

Since they will be difficult to replace later so was trying to get feedback from what others are already using.

WEBMay 17, 2016 · 12 AWG is large wire, standard for around here. This is what I linked to and recommend. 14 AWG is also good for audiophiles and is more typical for quality audio setups. It is easier to work with and you will not be able to hear any difference in sound between 14 AWG and 12 AWG, unless you have really long runs of wire.

A good example of that would be gold... 24k gold is 99.9% gold as compared to 14k gold which is only roughly 60% gold.
