WEBMar 16, 2015 · I would guess that my system at home costs about as much as a Z06. I own a 3LZ Z06. The sound from the Bose 10 speaker system in my C7 Z06 is amazing. Don't let the low-class haters fool you. It's worth the upgrade. Bose spent a lot of money to be sure the sound in the C7 3LZ is amazing. The haters on this thread obviously don't own a 3LZ.

Also here is a pic of the head I am wanting to replace the bose with. It is an alpine flip out dvd single din. It comes with the brain box, and an ipod hookup box.

In addition to changing the volume, it changes the equalization settings to (supposedly) increase the volume of those frequencies that get masked by road noise while not affecting those that aren't masked.

With the passing years, the 'stuff' originally used to make the paper material 'stiff' has deteriorated, which allows for major flex along the paper surface when you crank it up. Flex = distortion, and lack of volume, and overall cruddy sound.
