WEBMTB98. 6901 posts · Joined 2016. #8 · Sep 28, 2020. I looked into this a few years for an old Farmall M with a front loader that was plumbed with hydraulic hose and iron pipe fittings. There are flare tools available to flare steel hydraulic lines. The steel line isn’t cheap and the tool with dies was $300-500 IIRC.

WEBOct 1, 2020 · I took some pictures tonight of the lines. The tractor needed a bath and the loader needs some paint. I repainted most of the tractor last spring including the wheels and all the black. The hood, cowl and sides were replaced.

Releasing Hydraulic pressure - there has got to be a better way!
WEBJun 22, 2020 · If there is pressure on one of the lines its because there is a load on it. Trace it back to the cylinder and side. Then put a ratchet strap or come along on it and take the load off of it. While a load on the cylinder CAN cause pressure, it's not the primary reason for difficulty when reconnecting the couplers.

WEBMay 21, 2020 · Disconnecting the hose at the steering valve is a REAL PITA. There are five lines help in place by a steel plate. All of the lines use an O-ring to make the seal to the steering valve. There are two allen head cap screws holding the plate in place. You should be able to pull the one line out. Be sure to get a new T36492 O-ring for the new hose.
