WEBSep 2, 2021 · They were bigger than microcenter and went bankrupt last year with basically the microcenter business model. Frys could have been so much more. They didn’t adapt to the times and the family that owned them is shady. It wasn’t the retail business that was bad, it was what was going on behind the scenes.

Microcenter has 26 stores, about 300 total employees, and generates about $54M a year in gross sales. Meanwhile Best Buy has 1159 stores, 61,000 employees, and $47B in gross sales.

WEBJun 8, 2023 · they don't have a lot of pc parts, though. laptops, phones are the main devices (bout 35%) and over 40% are accessories, like mice, webcams, etc. micro center is full to the brim with pc parts, which i appreciate. the closest one to me is 30+ mins away by car ;-; Reply reply. WEBDec 11, 2021 · I really wish we had a microcenter nearby. I'm surprised they don't even have one in the bay area. I MISS Metro Electronics. Not quite the same as Fry's or the like, but check out Ham Radio Outlet over on Auburn near ARC. There's Sacramento Electronics Supply in Rancho Cordova.

WEBDec 23, 2021 · God fucking damnit, I'm in Canada and the nearest micro center is ages away, fuck this I'm so done. It’ll most likely be sold online in places like Amazon and eBay for higher marked up prices, we’ll see how it goes. Hopefully it will be available on those websites but not too expensive.
