This is one of those instances where it's about the journey more than the destination. The geysers are cool, and there are a lot of them, for sure. You can get as close to them as you dare. But Ol… Full review by Shawn U

I must say it was quite cool. I went around midday and they were still quite active. Maybe we should have gone in the morning but oh well. Be prepared for a 2h drive with very bumpy roads. Even if yo… Full review by Annabelle C

Absolutely stunning in the early morning. Feeling the geysers' heat while it was -10 degrees outside was really special. Worth the early wake-up! Full review by ethany804

Worried about the sickness from experience in Cusco which is not even 12,000 ft. Hotel clerk gave me oxygen tank to breath for few minutes twice a day (morning and evening) and problem solved. Is access to oxygen tank available at hotel of on the bus? We're planning to visit the desert this fall. Hope an arrangement can be made ahead of time to avoid distress. Your suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
A:
Don’t remember oxygen on bus. It is high. Didnt bother me but neither did Cusco.
Q:
What company did people use that they would recommend and how much was it approx?
A:
Lisa, I dont recall the values, but we used Cosmo Andino for Geyser del tatio and other tours and they were very good! I recommend their service.
Q:
How much walking is involved with this trip? How many minutes, yards.... one of our family cannot walk far :(
A:
To see the geysers you will walk about one kilometre over two hours. You will need to stand if not in a chair. Getting around in a chair will be difficult. Take a chair fold up type with you

I'm trying to decide between visiting the geysers and Salar de Tara (don't have time for both). I know they're totally different but would love to hear from people who've visited both. Which is a more unique experience? I'm also planning to visit valley de la luna and the piedras rojas.
A:
Tough choice. If you have visited another Salar, I would go to the geysers. Otherwise go to the Salar.
