PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The University of Pittsburgh has announced that they have hired Allen Greene to be the school's director of athletics. Pitt made it official on Friday morning saying that Greene will begin his tenure on November 1.

Greene, currently a senior deputy athletics director at Tennessee, will start on Nov. 1. Greene previously served as the athletic director at Auburn from 2018-22.

Pitt named former Auburn and Buffalo athletic director Allen Greene as the school’s next AD, the school announced Friday. Greene will join Pitt after serving as the senior deputy athletic director and chief operating officer at Tennessee.
