Barry Hawkins secured his place in the UK Championship final with a 6-5 victory over Mark Allen following a tense, early-morning finish at the Barbican.

Hawkins saw off Mark Allen in the deciding frame to win the five-hour marathon and book a clash with Judd Trump.

Wilson, who won the World Championship in May, overcame Michael Holt 6-3 in his last-eight encounter to equal his best performance at the tournament. Barry Hawkins and Mark Allen will face each other in the second semi-final, which begins at 7pm.
