CINCINNATI — Pro Football Focus grades are in for the Bearcats' 41-20 win over the Baylor Bears this past weekend. Starting on offense, it's no surprise to see Brendan Sorsby once again tally the top grade at 81.9 overall.
Cincinnati took a knee to run off the final 16 seconds of the half after Baylor's first touchdown of the day. Cincinnati had a 24-0 lead on touchdowns by Cyrus Allen, Evan Pryor and Tawee Walker with a field goal from Stephen Rusnak.
Cincinnati has won 6 games in a row and cracked the Top 25 after demolishing the Oklahoma State Cowboys 49-17 last week and covering as a 24-point road favorite with the Over (58) hitting. QB Brendan Sorsby threw for 284 yards and 4 TDs while rushing for another TD. WR Cyrus Allen had 4 receptions for 51 yards and 3 TDs.
As satisfying as the Michigan victory was, the Bearcats were firmly paddled in Bud Walton Arena Oct. 24 by a Razorbacks team coached by John Calipari, 89-61 in front of 14,832 fans doing the "Pig Sooie" chant.
For a second straight year, the Cincinnati Bearcats racked up a key win on Homecoming, taking down Baylor 41-20 on Oct. 25. Fireworks lit the sky afterward. "Great, great atmosphere," UC head coach Scott Satterfield said of the Ring of Red crowd.
The Bears got a third-down stop on the Bearcats’ first possession, but a pass-interference penalty gave Cincinnati a first down. A 1-yard touchdown run by Tawee Walker capped an 81-yard drive to put the Bearcats ahead 7-0.
