Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens is urging people to follow health guidance and limit outdoor activities if they see a chemical plume or smell chlorine from the BioLab fire.

According to Georgia Emergency Management Association, Metro Atlanta will wake up to a haze Thursday and possibly the smell of chlorine. And nighttime is when that smoke and air settles towards the ground.

Even though Rockdale County’s nightly shelter-in-place order has lifted, Dana Thompson with the American Lung Association says you need to stay cautious.
