BOSTON — Jeremy Swayman has plans to see Linus Ullmark when his friend, former teammate and current goaltender for the Senators arrives in Boston on Friday night. “I do have plans. I’m gonna try to see him today,” the Bruins goalie said.

After three seasons as teammates, Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark are expected to complete against one another on Saturday.

ULLMARK WASN’T THE only player involved in the trade, of course. On top of the first-round pick that became Dean Letourneau, the Bruins also acquired Swayman’s new backup, Joonas Korpisalo, and center Mark Kastelic. Both have played well for the Bruins in the young season.

For three seasons, Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark established themselves as arguably the best goalie tandem in the NHL. Beyond that, they forged a close friendship — with their on-ice embraces punctuating every Bruins victory as “Dirty Water” bellowed out of the TD Garden speakers.

All fans will need to watch this one, as Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark will face off against each other for the first time since GM Don Sweeney broke up the elite tandem this off-season. Swayman and Ullmark developed a great friendship during their days sharing the net in Boston.
