It’s hard to blame Chicago White Sox fans who fell asleep midway through Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, especially if they turned off the TV following Clayton Kershaw’s 3,000th strikeout.

Kershaw notched strikeout No. 3000 with a sixth inning punchout of White Sox third baseman Vinny Capra. The Dodgers later won the game on a walk-off single by first baseman Freddie Freeman.

It took 100 pitches and six innings, but Kershaw finally notched the three strikeouts the Dodgers left-hander needed.
