The Guardians have played their best baseball of the season and have been one of the league’s top teams in the immediate aftermath of the 10-game losing streak they suffered before the All-Star break.

Triston McKenzie once looked like the future ace of the Cleveland Guardians ' rotation. However, an injury-riddled 2023, a disappointing 2024, and a tough start to the 2025 season forced the organization to designate him for assignment. McKenzie went unclaimed, and the Guardians were able to keep him in their organization.

The Guardians, who have traditionally finished spring training with exhibitions at Chase Field in late March in recent years, have a team led by All-Star third baseman Jose Ramirez and outfielder Steven Kwan. Stephen Vogt, formerly with the Diamondbacks as a player, manages the Guardians.
