Up to four gunman opened fire during a dispute inside the crowded Taste of the City Lounge in New York City overnight, police say.

NEW YORK -- Three people are dead and eight others are wounded after a shooting at a New York City lounge early Sunday, police officials said. The shooting happened just before 3:30 a.m. local time inside the Taste of the City lounge in Crown Heights, Brooklyn at 903 Franklin Avenue.

Investigators believe up to four shooters opened fire at Taste of the City Lounge in Crown Heights after a dispute just before 3:30 a.m.

Nine others were treated for injuries after the early-morning shooting in the Crown Heights neighborhood, the police said.

A short walk from the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, The Botanica includes a playground and gym and has one-bedrooms starting at $933.
