Denver Broncos mascot Thunder runs strong in the hearts of fans, 33 seasons galloping the gridiron
A Thunder horse has been leading the charge at Broncos home games for 33 seasons. Today's Thunder -- Thunder IV -- has his own pregame rituals like any other member of the team; although, his usually involves hay. He continues to encapsulate the spirit of Broncos Country, and lives in the hearts of those who bleed orange and blue.
Last year, the Broncos went 10-7 in coach Sean Payton's second season, reaching the NFL playoffs for the first time since the team won Super Bowl 50 following the 2015 campaign. Payton will now attempt to get his squad back to the playoffs -- and he has aspirations to go much further than the Wild Card round this time.
The Broncos are set to return home in their Sunset Orange jerseys for Alumni Weekend against the Giants. Denver will pair the orange jerseys with Summit White pants and orange socks for the first time this season. The Sunset Orange jerseys were worn during the first two games of the season but were paired with different socks and pants.
The Denver Broncos defense has been dominant so far this year, so much so that they’re getting some serious praise on the historical side. The unit is currently on track to break the season record for sacks set by the Chicago Bears defense back in 1984,

The Denver Broncos are set to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their 2015 season that culminated with their 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday afternoon. In addition to recognizing that Super Bowl-winning squad, the Broncos will also add late wide receiver Demaryius Thomas to their Ring of Fame.
