Duke looked all set to play for the national title in the NCAA men's tournament before an epic meltdown against Houston caused a heartbreaking loss.

Houston uncorked mayhem in the penultimate game of this year's NCAA Tournament with an amazing comeback Saturday to defeat Duke 70-67 in the Final Four. The Cougars erased a 14-point second-half deficit and closed on a 25-8 run to stun the Blue Devils, tying for the second-largest Final Four comeback in the last decade.

Saturday's second national semifinal showdown in San Antonio at the Final Four will see No. 1 seed Duke face No. 1 seed Houston in a rematch of last year's Sweet 16 clash won by the Blue Devils. Duke advanced to the Elite Eight last spring with a dramatic 54-51 win over the Cougars.

Houston has advanced to the national championship for the first time since 1984 and the third time overall after stunning Duke 70-67 in the Final Four. Seeking their first ever national title, the Cougars will face Florida in the final on Monday after the Gators beat Auburn in tonight’s first semifinal.

The Blue Devils suffered a tough loss to Houston in a game in which they led for the majority of it. The final minute for the Blue Devils was one to forget; heck, the final 33 seconds was one to forget as Duke had a six-point lead that they saw dissipate in 15 seconds.

The Houston Cougars trailed by nine points with only three minutes left in the men's national semifinal Saturday night. Kelvin Sampson 's team then pulled off an upset for the ages at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
