Charges have been filed in an alleged attack that seriously wounded a teenage Fleet Farm worker​ in Minnesota over the weekend.

Gerald Dwayne Hudson is accused of 1st and 2nd degree assault for this week’s incident at a Fleet Farm in Carver, Minnesota, on the west edge of the Twin Cities. The girl suffered a significant loss of blood.

Prosecutors on Tuesday charged 31-year-old Gerald Dwayne Hudson, of Kansas City, KS, with one count each of 1st- and 2nd-degree assault in connection with the incident, which happened around 2 p.m. at the west metro Fleet Farm store in Carver.

Authorities southwest of the Twin Cities say a teen Fleet Farm worker is in the hospital and a man is in custody following a stabbing Sunday.

Gerald Dwayne Hudson, of Kansas City, faces one count of first-degree assault and one count of second-degree assault.

Sheriff’s deputies say a 31-year-old man from Kansas City stabbed the teen Sunday and fled the scene. The teen from Jordan was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in stable condition.

Gerald Dwayne Hudson, 31, was charged on Tuesday with first-degree assault causing great bodily harm and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon for his alleged role in the stabbing.
