The BBC has announced a new Gavin and Stacey radio special with Ruth Jones and James Corden. Ahead of the hit sitcom's upcoming Christmas Day special after five years off screen, Jones and Corden will host a radio special on BBC Radio 2 Breakfast, titled A Gavin and Stacey Takeover.

Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Gavin & Stacey: The Finale -- starring James Corden and Ruth Jones -- is set to air on BBC and iPlayer Christmas Day. "It's five years since we left Nessa (Jones) down on one knee declaring her love for Smithy (Corden) and asking him to marry her. And a lot has happened since then," the BBC said in a press release on Tuesday.

The beloved sitcom Gavin & Stacey is set to return this Christmas Day with what has been billed as its final ever episode. While fans eagerly await the Christmas special, star Joanna Page has cast doubt on the show's future beyond this episode and whether this really is it for the Barry Island-based comedy.
