Jon Moxley is set to compete in one of the most physically tormenting matches at the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view.

AEW WrestleDream (Oct. 18, 2025) was headlined by the I Quit match between Jon Moxley and Darby Allin with a surprise appearance from Sting at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, MO. The PPV also included The Opps turning heel on Hangman Page,

Jon Moxley has found himself in an unexpected predicament tonight at AEW WrestleDream. A WWE legend has briefly come out of retirement and taken him out during his high-stakes match at the pay-per-view.

Tony Khan says Jon Moxley reminds him of Harley Race, highlighting Moxley's titles, toughness, and worldwide reputation as a wrestling icon.

Despite Dean Ambrose's five year contract with AEW, fans are more than optimistic about his return with WWE's one cryptic hint.

Moxley has had four reigns as AEW World Champion. The most recent of those occurred from October 2024 to July 2025, when current champ Hangman Page dethroned him for the belt. Moxley is the leader of the Death Riders, a faction that now consists of Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Marina Shafir, PAC, and the recently added Daniel Garcia.

Should a scenario happen where Jon Moxley gets kicked out of the Death Riders, he could easily transition back to being a babyface. He is a popular star within the roster and could once more become the locker room leader on-screen. This is only in the case that he finally pivots from being a heel.
