Many fans of Lady Gaga have expressed disappointment on social media following the release of “Joker: Folie à Deux” as it appears a few scenes Gaga shot for the film did not end up making it into the final theatrical cut.

They then showed two shots from the trailers which didn’t make the final film, as well as a fan recording of a public set. The public set showed Lee, Gaga’s version of Harley Quinn, kissing a random member of the public on her way into court to support Arthur (aka the Joker).

Lady Gaga discussed this subject while explaining how the movie inspired her new album Harlequin, which collects reimagined covers that she and Phoenix sing in Joker, as well as two original songs. The singer-songwriter and star of movies like A Star is Born and House of Gucci started off by telling EW:

The singer, who announced that she will be dropping the first single from her forthcoming seventh studio album next month, just announced “Harlequin,” a soundtrack album titled to the forthcoming film “Joker :Folie et Deux,” in which she stars with Joaquin Phoenix.
