For more than 60 days, Lebanese have watched stunned as Israeli strikes smashed into buildings, raising giant explosions and palls of smoke in the heart of the capital and other cities.

Israel’s military launched airstrikes across Lebanonon Monday, unleashing explosions throughout the country and killing at least 31.The attacks came as Israeli leaders appeared to be closing in on a negotiated ceasefire with the Hezbollah militant group.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Wednesday that Tehran reserves the right to react to Israeli airstrikes last month on Iran but is also taking account of other developments in the region.
