The largest multi-state lottery drawing of 2025 takes place Monday night as the Powerball jackpot has surpassed the $600 million mark. The estimated grand prize for the drawing on Aug. 18, is worth $605 million with a cash option of $273.4 million.

A lottery player’s trip to a Circle K gas station turned into a $100,000 prize in Florida. The winner, who had not come forward as of Aug. 19, won the top prize in the Aug. 18 Fantasy 5 evening drawing, according to Florida Lottery records. They bought their ticket at a Circle K convenience store in Pensacola, results show.

The Connecticut Lottery player was one of eight Powerball players across the nation to win a prize totaling over $100,000 following the drawing, according to Powerball. The player initially won $50,000, and $50,000 was added to their winnings due to a Power Play. The odds of winning were one in over 913,000, according to the Powerball odds page.

A Maryland man took inspiration from another vehicle's license plate and bought a Maryland Lottery Pick 5 lottery ticket that earned him a $200,000 prize.

The lucky ticket was sold at a Publix grocery store on Curry Ford Road in Orlando. The player opted for Quick Pick, meaning a lottery machine randomly chose at least some of their ticket numbers, the Florida Lottery wrote on its website and in a news release.

A Michigan man won a nice prize playing the lottery, then used the money to win an even bigger prize. The man bought a $300 Fast Cash ticket, according to the Michigan Lottery.

Winner Oletha Etheridge plans to use the prize money for her home and car. She also split it with her children.

St. Louis can earn a top lottery selection in the 2026 MLB draft, which would fall within the first six picks. If they fall out of the top six, then St. Louis could once again be eligible in 2027 for a top lottery pick if they miss the postseason once again.
