Residents evacuated from east side Milwaukee apartment building
On a frigid day, residents of the Resco Apartments on Milwaukee's East Side were evacuated after cold weather damaged a beam in the building's parking garage, prompting firefighters to respond just before 4 p.
"(We) found that apartments did not require evacuation," a city official said. "The garage was (shored), and the inspectors felt that was sufficient."
