There is a lot of speculation going around on whether India will be a part of the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 which is being hosted by Pakistan. India have cited that they will not be travelling to Pakistan due to security concerns and a solution in the form of an hybrid model of the tournament has sprung up.

Backing down from its boycott threat, the Pakistan Cricket Board has told the ICC that it is willing to accept the 'Hybrid' model for hosting next year's Champions Trophy provided the world body allows the same arrangement for events to be held in India till 2031.

Naqvi spoke to the Pakistani media on the sidelines of the India-Pakistan clash on Saturday, November 30, during the U-19 Asia Cup at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

While Pakistan had earlier threatened of a boycott should their hosting rights be taken away on a whole, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday said that cricket should be the ultimate winner.

With Pakistan seeking to host their first major ICC tournament in nearly three decades, the ICC Board’s meeting will determine the schedule of the tournament, indicating where each team will play and likely also reserving a neutral venue.

BCCI is prioritising player safety for the Indian team's travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy. Discussions are ongoing, and a hybrid model is an option. The ICC will meet to decide the tournament's fate.

The ICC Board will meet today to finalise and determine the venues and schedule for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The ICC is set to take a final call on who would be the hosts for the returning Champions Trophy 2025. India's participation will be a key point of discussion with the BCCI refusing to send the team to Pakistan and hoping that a Hybrid Model will be accepted.
