Rajasthan Royals (RR), led by new head coach Rahul Dravid, entered the IPL 2025 auction with a clear plan to build a championship-caliber squad. Retaining a strong core of six players, the inaugural IPL champions aim to overcome past inconsistencies and reclaim their title-winning glory.

Rahul Dravid-led Royals struggled in the two-day player auction event in Jeddah despite signing back the star English fast bowler Jofra Archer and the Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga.

On Day 2, RR spent 4.20 crores on Nitish Rana. They also roped in pacer Tushar Deshpande for ₹ 6.50 crores. They also signed Shubman Dubey for ₹ 80 Lakhs. RR also signed 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi for ₹ 1.10 Cr, from a base price of ₹ 30 Lakh, making him the youngest-ever player to be picked in IPL.

Rajasthan Royals Team and Players List: Rajasthan Royals were one of the teams that had opted to retain the maximum allotted six players including Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shimron Hetmyer.

RR's retentions are as follows – Yashasvi Jaiswal (18 Cr), Sanju Samson (18 Cr), Dhruv Jurel (14 Cr), Riyan Parag (14 Cr), Shimron Hetmyer (11 Cr) and Sandeep Sharma (4 Cr).
