The Warriors waived Seth Curry, the brother of Steph Curry, for salary cap reasons, but are expected to re-sign the sharpshooter soon.
The Warriors announced that they have waived Seth Curry just three days before the season opener. There is growing optimism, though, that he could return in November once the team has “sufficient financial flexibility,” according to NBA reporter Marc Stein.
The Golden State Warriors have cut guard LJ Cryer, a 24-year-old who joined the team after going undrafted. Despite showing flashes of potential and solid shooting during the preseason, Cryer did not secure a final roster spot.
The 6-foot-7 swingman revived the Warriors’ defense to elite levels, added supplemental clutch scoring to complement 11-time All-NBA superstar point guard Stephen Curry, and helped the club become an elite free throw shooting squad.
