Stocks opened higher Monday, bouncing after the worst week for the S&P 500 and Dow since March 2023. Analysts saw no clear catalyst for the bounce, but expected market volatility to persist amid uncertainty over the economic outlook and the scope of fully expected Federal Reserve rate cuts.

U.S. stocks are clawing back some of the losses from their worst week in nearly a year and a half. The S&P 500 was 0.8% higher in early trading Monday.
