As Storm Conall passed over England, nearly 50mm of rain fell on Dartmoor and 20-30mm in some other parts of southern England. But many of the areas that were flooded during Storm Bert saw less rain with totals at around 3mm-8mm, so further problems were averted.

Trains have been cancelled in parts of southern England after heavy rainfall flooded railway lines during Storm Conall. No trains are running between Tonbridge and Redhill, Ascot and Aldershot, and Ryde Esplanade and Ryde St Johns Road on the Isle of Wight,

The third named storm of the season could bring up to 50mm (two inches) of rain to parts of southern England today - just days after Storm Bert brought torrential rain and major disruption over the weekend.
