If you're sleeping on a quilted Avocado mattress pad, it may have been recalled due to a fire hazard. Here's what to do.

Avocado Green Mattress is recalling over 55,000 of its organic cotton mattress pads due to a fire hazard. The recall includes all sizes, from twin to California King, that were sold in both a standard pocket and deep pocket version.

The CPSC notes that, by violating federal flammability standards, the recalled mattress pads pose a fire or burn risk.

About 55,480 Avocado Organic Cotton Mattress Pad Protectors are being recalled as they violate the mandatory federal flammability regulation for mattress pads — posing a fire risk. According to Avocado, the items failed CPSC’s flammability testing for cigarette ignition resistance.
