Pilot survives plane crash into lake in Cass County
Cass County is reporting a plane crash from Tuesday afternoon. They responded around 2pm at the southern end of Inguadona Lake in rural Remer. Witnesses were able to rescue and retrieve the pilot. Authorities said he is a 56-year-old from Texas.

The pilot, identified as a 56-year-old Texas man, was rescued by witnesses to the crash. Authorities add he was treated at the scene for his injuries, and didn't need any further treatment.

After and initial investigation it was found that the airplane was a Minnesota Department of Natural Resources contracted fire suppression plane that was completing a proficiency flight when it crashed into the lake.
