Meta is dialing back what teens can see on Instagram. The social media giant says it will limit content for users under 18 to roughly the same level as a PG-13 movie. That means no posts with sexualized content,

Instagram is further cracking down on what millions of young people can see on the platform, aligning its “Teen Accounts” safety settings with the guidelines for PG-13 movies.

Instagram and other social media sites have long been under fire for exposing children to harmful content and not doing enough to protect kids’ well-being.

Instagram will now be applying PG-13 movie guidelines to its teenage users' accounts by default, Meta announced on Tuesday.
