The government has changed the original master plan for the construction of new road to Islamabad Airport without the approval of Cabinet, which would cost the national exchequer over Rs 15 billion.

The Master Plan developed by LBG provides the parameters and program for the design, construction and phased development of the New Islamabad Airport (NIIA) through the year 2030.
