Google Play Books has a little known feature that allows users to upload their own PDF and EPUB books from their PC or Android device to their Play account.

Instead, per an update to Send to Kindle documentation, the Amazon Kindle will soon support using the Send to Kindle function to convert ePub files into an Amazon-specific digital book file format.

The upcoming update for the Kindle will bring this new support for the feature, and users will be able to open ePub files directly instead of the manual conversion done online.
