The spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, doubts the sincerity of France and the United Kingdom during votes on resolutions concerning the Ukrainian crisis in the Security Council and the United Nations General Assembly.

The United Nations General Assembly has supported a resolution, drafted by Ukraine and the European Union, while it condemned Russia on the third anniversary of its full-scale invasion. It rejected a competing US resolution, which reflected Donald Trump's growing divide with Europe and closer ties with Vladimir Putin.

Washington fails to block it and presents an alternative text, more lenient towards Moscow, but ends up abstaining after European amendments toughen it. The United Nations General Assembly approved a resolution on the war in Ukraine this Monday,
