Adam Howard said he will draw on a number of influences now that he’s in charge of Troy’s basketball program. Howard was introduced as the Trojans’ new coach on Monday, returning to Troy after eight years away working as an assistant at various stops.

Adam Howard earned his day to stand at the podium. Troy University announced the Ashland alumnus and former guard as its new men’s basketball coach in front of family, friends and school administrators Monday afternoon at the Stadium Club on the school’s campus.

The coach will begin his second stint as a Trojan, having served as an assistant coach with Troy from 2016-18, where he helped guide the Trojans to their first NCAA appearance in almost 15 years.
