Minecraft VR currently holds a spot on our list of the best VR games available on PC, but we're going to have to make a little change on that pretty soon. In the latest Minecraft: Bedrock Edition changelog, Mojang said its "ability to support VR/MR devices has come to an end," and it will be dropped after a final update in March 2025.

Mojang wrote in the changelog: "Our ability to support VR/MR devices has come to an end, and will no longer be supported in updates after March of 2025, when you will receive your final update. After you receive the final update, you will still receive updates on your PC and be able to play without a VR/MR device."

Mojang, the developer behind Minecraft announced that it would end VR support for Minecraft on both PSVR and PC. Mojang’s announcement specified that the support for the PCVR would end by March 2025.

Mojang announced last month it was dropping PSVR support for Minecraft in 2025, which was mostly understandable considering the headset is now eight years old. In the release notes of the latest Bedrock update though,

After announcing the end of support for PS VR headsets, Mojang confirmed Minecraft will no longer work with PC VR devices, either.

Following its recent decision to end PSVR support for Minecraft, developer Mojang has announced it'll be doing the same for VR on PC, with the ability to don VR goggles and stroll through Minecraft set to be removed from both platforms from March next year.
