Arsenal's goalkeeper David Raya was the hero on a dull night in Bergamo, making a brilliant save from a penalty to ensure the Gunners left Atalanta with a point.

Raya gave a big roar and was mobbed by Arsenal's players in the goalmouth. The goalkeeper performed a similar double save in the Premier League this season at Aston Villa to deny Ollie Watkins, before Arsenal went on to score twice in the second half for a 2-0.

David Raya credited Arsenal’s goalkeeper coach Inaki Cana after his double-save preserved a clean sheet during Thursday’s Champions League draw against Atalanta. Atalanta had been given the opportunity to take the lead in the second half of the pair’s league phase opener after Thomas Partey was penalised for a foul on Marten de Roon.
