OMAHA, Neb. ( KCAU) — A second man who was arrested in Stanton County, Nebraska after illegally killing a bald eagle with the intention of eating it has been sentenced.

Ramiro Hernandez Tziquin and his accomplice planned to cook and eat the bald eagle, according to the Stanton County Sheriff's Office.

SPARTA, N.C. ( WHNS /Gray News) - An elderly North Carolina man pleads guilty in federal court to charges of killing a bald eagle. Robert Garner Gambill, 91 years old, reportedly shot the eagle while it was perched in a tree in Sparta on June 5.

Gambill said he set his gun on a fencepost, aimed and fired at the eagle, killing it. He left the bird's carcass on the New River's bank.
