President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday named John Ratcliffe as his pick for CIA director in the next administration.Ratcliffe, a former congressman from Texas, was director of national intelligence in Trump's first term.

Ratcliffe served as director of national intelligence for the final months of Trump’s first term, leading the U.S. government’s spy agencies during the coronavirus pandemic.
