The college football landscape this season has been unforgiving, if there was a word to describe it. With five weeks remaining in the season, powerhouse programs such as LSU, Florida and Penn State have parted ways with their coaches.

It's the eve of November and the College Football Playoff picture is getting clearer in this week's bowl projections.

The SEC and Big Ten both offered "College GameDay" an appetizing option or two for its Week 10 destination. In the SEC, the Oklahoma Sooners are in Knoxville to face the Tennessee Volunteers in a de facto College Football Playoff elimination game at Neyland Stadium (6:30 p.m. CT, ABC).

Oklahoma (6-2) managed 342 yards of total offense and 13 downs, well below its season averages after most of the Sooners' production came on a 76-yard catch-and-run from Isaiah Setagna in the first half and Xavier Robinson's 65-yard scamper in the third quarter.
