A year after announcing sweeping layoffs, Seattle-based Expedia is again cutting employees, the online travel giant confirmed Wednesday.

"To ensure the best traveler experience, we must continually adapt to the evolving needs of our industry and travelers. This requires difficult but necessary decisions such as refining our marketing strategies, improving efficiencies and reallocating resources," an Expedia spokesperson said in a statement.

While the specific number of employees has yet to be revealed, Expedia Group has confirmed that it is going to lay off more workers.
