A man climbed part of London's famous Big Ben tower on Saturday, waving a Palestinian flag and shouting "Free Palestine." He stayed there for 16 hours before finally coming down. Police arrested him soon after.

The man sat on the ledge with the flag and a keffiyeh for over 16 hours, vlogging the incident on Instagram, before getting down.

A man with a Palestinian flag who climbed London’s Big Ben clock tower early on Saturday was still perched on the famous landmark after nightfall, even as emergency crews urged him to come down. Police said they were first alerted shortly after 7am GMT and the man has spent the day barefoot on a ledge several metres up the historic structure.
