That is because there is no rush to finalize the details amid the free agency moratorium period, as there could be salary cap and apron advantages to expanding the deal.

According to The Athletic, the deal that sends Durant from the Phoenix Suns to the Rockets is expanding rapidly. The deal could involve what would be a league-record seven teams when it's all said and done, including the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves.
