Nearly two months after a deadly wildfire broke out, 2,000 residents in the Pacific Palisades finally have access to safe drinking water again, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass announced Tuesday.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has restored safe drinking water to about 2,000 residential and commercial customers in Pacific Palisades after last month’s wildfire, according to Mayor Karen Bass’ office.

Customers in the affected areas, which include most of the 90272 Zip Code and portions of the LADWP Service Area immediately south of 90272, north of San Vicente Boulevard, can now use the

LADWP launched a dashboard so Pacific Palisades customers could track its progress on flushing fire-caused contaminants out of the water distribution system.
