Daniel Gross, the former chief executive officer and co-founder of artificial intelligence startup Safe Superintelligence Inc., is joining Meta Platforms Inc.’s new superintelligence lab focused on AI.

It's unclear where Meta will house the new AI team, but it comes as the Lone Star State has entered the conversation of the company's evolving identity.

Meta's AI efforts will now fall under a new unit called "Superintelligence Labs," which will be led by former Scale AI CEO Alexandr Wang.
