Rockstar Games announced on Friday that Grand Theft Auto VI 's release date has been pushed back to May 26, 2026. While a previous launch date was never officially announced, Take-Two Interactive—the publishing label that owns Rockstar— said in May 2024 that it was being targeted for fall 2025.
Based on Rockstar Games' launch history, it would not be surprising if GTA 6 is delayed past its new May 2026 release date.
