The game launched the PlayStation console but was later adapted for Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color, Dreamcast and N-Gage.

Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk is teasing a potential new entry into the Pro Skater franchise to celebrate the first game's 25th anniversary.

The Tony Hawk's Pro Skater celebrates its 25th anniversary this month, and Activision says it has heard the demand for the series' return loud and clear.

It’s been about four years since the last Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater launched. Since then, Activision has closed up the studio behind the last THPS and seemed uninterested in making more. But legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk himself has confirmed he’s working with the publisher again on “something” that THPS fans will “appreciate.

Tony Hawk is certain "there will be a future" for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater as he celebrates the game's 25th anniversary. Taking to Instagram to share a few words, Hawk posted a few behind-the-scenes clips of the beloved video game and wrote,
