Server-side scripting refers to programs that tell the server hosting the Web page how to operate. Examples of server-side scripting languages include ASP and PHP.
Application servers, enterprise service buses (ESBs) and portal servers are a few examples of server-based middleware. Shared libraries are standard components and middleware capabilities.
Other examples of server-side technology include using HTMX along with Spring Boot with Thymeleaf in the Java world and Spring Boot with Django in the Python world.
