The PGA Championship is set to go down this weekend at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, N.C., led by native Texan and No. 1-ranked Scottie Scheffler and three players who call the Houston-area home. The 107th iteration of the tournament comes two months after the Masters kicked off golf's major season in April.

Monday was a near washout in Charlotte and more rain the next two days could limit practice for the season’s second major.

• The course with the best combination of prestige and results was Carnoustie, one of the great courses in the world and home of results like Ben Hogan winning his only Open and the Jean Van de Velde meltdown. It ranked third best in both categories.
