The PS5 has received yet another improved PS4 game, this time with a new game mode that is exclusive to the latest PlayStation console.

It seems $700 for a video game console may be too much. Sales for Sony‘s enhanced PS5 Pro have fallen off since its launch in November 2024. So much so, it has started to fall behind PS4 Pro sales when comparing similar time frames.

Annapurna Interactive just had a showcase giving players a glimpse of what to expect from the publisher and its developers this year. During the event, the company announced one of its critically acclaimed PS4 games is getting a free PS5 upgrade today at no additional cost.

Sales for Sony's upgraded PlayStation 5 appear to have stumbled after only a few months, as console sales in the US drop across the board.

Sales of the PlayStation 5 Pro reportedly fall behind what the PlayStation 4 Pro was able to reach in the same timeframe, despite a solid start.

Sony has not released official PS5 Pro sales figures. However, its latest earnings results included Pro sales for the first time, and showed that launch-aligned, PlayStation 5 is now just 1.5 million units behind PlayStation 4 during the same period of its lifecycle (75m vs 76.5m).

PS5 Pro sales are struggling to match early sales of PS4 Pro, with a noted 15% drop in hardware sales in January 2025.

Sony announced that a PS5 remaster is on the way for Days Gone last week, only it comes with a bit of a snag for those that own it through PS Plus.

As was announced last month, an open beta test for upcoming fighter Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is now available to download on PS5 and PS4. Everyone can dive in — you don't need a code or anything like that.
