It looks like the Chicago Bulls rejected a lucrative trade offer for Lonzo Ball before agreeing $20 million extension with the guard.
While Lonzo Ball was included in some trade speculation ahead of this year's trade deadline, he is happy to be with the Chicago Bulls and ultimately agreed to a two-year, $20 million contract extension.

Ball will not return to Monday's game against the 76ers due to a head laceration, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports. Ball posted six points (2-2 FG, 2-2 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist across eight minutes before checking out of the game with 5:55 remaining in the second quarter.
Ball missed each of the Bulls' last four games before the All-Star break due to an illness, but he started in this one and posted a decent stat line despite his shooting woes. Ball has started in each of his last nine appearances and is likely to remain in that role following the roster moves Chicago has made in recent weeks.
Regardless, Lonzo Ball remained in the starting lineup but exited late in the first half. Now, an update has been provided on his status. After suffering a laceration to his head, Ball won't return to Monday's contest against the 76ers.

After missing the last two NBA seasons due to multiple knee surgeries, Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball was finally able to get back onto the court in late November. However, it hasn't been the easiest comeback for the former UCLA star, averaging 7.3 points on 34.9% shooting, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.4 assists through 32 games played.
